David Ayer, coming fresh off of praise for his work on the movie Fury, is now directing the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. The Suicide Squad is the name of a group of rougue villains in the Batman universe, who are assembled by Amanda Waller and forced to a task which the government itself wants its hands clear of.

Tom Hardy was supposed to in the movie playing the character of Rick Flag, but had to opt out of it due to scheduling issues.

The movie will feature Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, and more.

Smith looks really cool in that photo. We've also seen on set pics of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. It seems that this character's getup will be based on the costume she has in the Arkham Games. Check it out (also notice Killer croc)

He looks the part, especially compared to the Joker in the new 52 (especially one in Endgame), but I hope they remove the face tattoo. In fact, I don't think the Joker really cares about tatoos in the first place, but please, not the face! I hope they don't have it on the face in the final movie. Otherwise I have high hopes from Leto. He's a great actor and has the right physique to pull it off.
